Cokato, Minnesota · Since 2007
A hardwood flooring contractor the west metro's builders keep calling back.
We started Alpine Hardwood in 2007 with a plain idea: do the work well, be easy to schedule, and treat every house like our own. We have grown from one crew into enough crews to be on site the week a builder needs us, and every floor still gets the same finish standard.

It was a pleasure to work with Alpine Hardwood — from the first contact to the finished job. They refinished our 26 year old Maple hardwood floors and the end result was truly better than new.

How we work
The same crews on a lake house and a 1920s bungalow.
Most of our work is on Lake Minnetonka and across the west metro, about an hour east of the shop on Highway 12. In a new build we come in at the stage the builder sets, lay the floor the plan calls for, protect it until the walk-through, and finish it in place. In an occupied house we sand with dust containment, match the stain to a sample made on your wood in your light, and tell you when the furniture can come back.
Builders including John Kraemer & Sons, Creek Hill Custom Homes, Viking Construction, MD Williams Homes and Hage Homes put Alpine floors in their homes. Their estimates run through JobTread, itemized, so a change in scope shows up as a line and not a surprise.
We are members of the National Wood Flooring Association, and we install solid, engineered and prefinished hardwood in any species or pattern. We are not a lumber mill. We order the wood your plan calls for from the mills that cut it, and we keep sample boards and full planks at the shop in Cokato so you can see it in person.
