Questions before you apply
Do I need previous flooring experience to apply?
Not necessarily. We hire at every level, from helpers learning the trade to experienced installers running their own jobs. If you are new to flooring, we train you on our process and tools. If you have been in the business for years, tell us about it in the interview so we can match you to the right role and pay grade.
What does a typical workday look like?
Most days start early at the shop in Cokato, loading materials and heading out as a crew. Jobs are a mix of residential and light commercial work across the west metro, with most installs running one to five days. You are on your feet doing physical work in customers' homes, so being clean, on time and professional matters as much as the craftsmanship.
Is this steady, year-round work?
Yes. Hardwood flooring is mostly indoor work, so we stay busy through Minnesota winters. Spring and fall are the heaviest seasons, and overtime is usually available for anyone who wants the hours.
How do I apply?
Email your resume and a short note about your experience to office@alpinehardwoodmn.com, or call the shop at (320) 559-0094. If it looks like a fit, we invite you to the shop to meet the team and talk through the role in person.
