Most residential installations take three to five days on site, depending on the size of the space and the layout. Patterned floors like herringbone take longer. Add acclimation time before we start, which depends on the season and the house. New construction runs on the builder's calendar and we arrive at the stage of the build the floor needs.

In most cases, yes. Solid hardwood can usually be sanded and refinished several times over its life, and many engineered floors can take at least one sanding. We do a free assessment first, check the thickness and the subfloor, and tell you whether a full sand, a buff and coat, or a replacement makes sense.

Solid and engineered hardwood, prefinished or finished in the house, in any species, width and pattern. White oak, red oak, maple, hickory and walnut are the ones we install most. We also do stair treads, borders, herringbone and chevron, and commercial floors.
